Impossible Tracks is a 3D Desktop Game by GoXeon Studios.

An exhilarating 3D game that takes the player on a heart-pounding journey through a world of gravity-defying, mind-bending tracks. As a game developer on this project, I was part of a team dedicated to delivering an unforgettable gaming experience.

Gameplay

  • The core gameplay revolves around selecting a high-speed sports car from a diverse collection of vehicles, each with its own unique attributes and handling characteristics.
  • Once the player has chosen their vehicle, they are thrust into a world of seemingly impossible tracks suspended high in the sky, surrounded by breath-taking landscapes.
  • The objective is simple: complete the challenging track within a set time limit to win the level and unlock new tracks, cars, and customization options.

Track Design

  • Tracks that defy the laws of physics. These tracks are meticulously designed to push the limits of the player’s skills and imagination.
  • The tracks feature a wide variety of elements, including gravity-defying loops, towering vertical ramps, corkscrews that twist and turn, and jumps that will make your heart skip a beat.
  • Environmental elements, such as stunning landscapes, futuristic cities, and exotic locales, add to the overall immersion and visual appeal of the game.
  • As players progress, tracks become progressively more challenging, testing their reflexes, precision, and mastery of their chosen vehicle.

Visuals and Graphics

  • Boasts cutting-edge graphics and stunning visual effects. The game is optimized for high-end devices to deliver a truly immersive and visually stunning experience.
  • The tracks are a visual feast, with vibrant colours, dynamic lighting, and realistic physics simulations that add to the feeling of speed and intensity.
  • Players can customize their vehicles with various paint jobs, decals, and performance upgrades, allowing for personalization and a sense of ownership.

Controls and Immersion

  • Immersive sound effects and an adrenaline-pumping soundtrack enhance the gaming experience, making players feel like they’re in the driver’s seat, racing on the edge of possibility.

Social Features

  • Leader boards, achievements, and in-game events keep players engaged and encourage friendly competition.
  • Social integration enables players to share their most daring stunts and high-speed runs with friends, further enhancing the sense of community within the game.

As a game developer on this project, I tried to create an unforgettable gaming experience that pushes the boundaries of what’s possible in the world of desktop gaming. UI Components

Different user interface (UI) components have been developed to increase the usability of the game. Some of these components are buttons, gameplay, and menu etc. Screen shots are as follows:

Multiple Levels

A feature of a multiple-level system has been developed in the game to increase its gameplay duration and difficulty with each level. These levels are accessible when a player clicks on the main menu button. Furthermore, these menus are divided into two parts: the first menu displays the region number, and the second part, which is a subsection of the first menu, shows the number of levels

Car Selection

A car selection feature has been developed in the game, allowing players to express their interest and choose their preferred car. This feature enhances the game’s attractiveness and effectiveness.

Audio Component

An audio component has been added to the game to enhance usability and make it more interesting. Sound informs players about the actions taking place in the game.

Status of car

The car feature status displays various attributes of each car. Each car has its own set of features, such as speed, brakes, engine power, and steering. Players can make their car selection by reviewing the status of each car.

Number of coins

\The ‘Number of Coins’ feature shows the player how many coins they currently have and enables them to purchase a car of their choice by spending the coins. Players acquire these coins at the end of each level.

Particle System

Particle systems are incorporated into the game for various events. These particle systems activate when a player successfully crosses the tracks and completes the level.

Achievement system

An achievement system has been implemented in the game to provide players with a sense of accomplishment. This feature is highly important as it reflects the player’s overall performance. The number of coins obtained after completing the game also serves as an indicator of the player’s performance.

Physics Component

A Physics Component has been added to make the game more realistic and interactive. This feature is crucial as it enhances player productivity, usability, and interactivity. It also facilitates the implementation of features such as the dragging system and gravity.

A dragging system has been integrated into the game, enabling cars to be dragged. This feature is implemented using a physics component. When a player hits the ‘Space button,’ the brakes are applied, and the car starts to drag.
